The CSLP exam is a challenging test designed to verify your knowledge about student loan advising. It also provides questions that determine your ability to advise clients accurately. This does not guarantee competency. 

Every individual is different. For those with financial advising and business experience, it may be less challenging with an appropriate amount of study.

We recommend that those who wish to become CSLP have at least 2 years of experience working in the financial service industry, preferably working under the direction of an experienced advisor.
