1. Many of you may be familiar with proctored exams where you visit a testing center. The CSLP exam proctor is similar, except you take the exam from your home or office.

2. The process to get started is to register. Only register when you know you are ready to take the exam within 30 days of registration. Failure to complete the exam within 30 days of registration will result in a late fee.

3. To register, you will find details in the 400 module of your CSLP course.

4. Registration allows you to take the exam at any time. Proctors are generally available 24/7.

5. After registration, you can "Connect with the proctor". This will establish an Internet connection to the proctors.

6. Once connected, your proctor will do an ID check and explain that you cannot have any materials available or anyone else in the room.

7. When you are ready, you may start the exam. A timer will display the remaining available time to complete.

8. When you complete the exam, you will receive a score. You'll receive an email confirmation and the next steps if you pass.

9. If you do not pass, you will have a link to pay for a exam re-take. You should study and prepare to retake within 30 days. Failure to do so will result in additional fees.
